House of Cardboard began with a simple idea:
furniture should be lighter, more adaptable, and made with care.
As part of a family-owned manufacturing business in Queensland, we began working with honeycomb cardboard in 2020 while searching for more sustainable alternatives to traditional packaging materials. What started as an environmentally conscious choice quickly became something much bigger.
The more we worked with honeycomb cardboard, the more we discovered its potential.
Strong yet lightweight, practical yet adaptable, it challenged everything we thought we knew about what furniture and functional products could be. We began experimenting, creating everything from children’s playhouses and furniture to storage systems and custom solutions, all using the same remarkable material.
What surprised us most wasn’t just the strength of honeycomb cardboard—it was its versatility.
That journey led to the creation of House of Cardboard.
